How to Send an SMS/text via SMS-iT

Purpose

To outline the steps for sending SMS messages using a SIM card connected to a device.

Procedure

  1. Open the text messaging application on the device. Ensure the correct SIM card is selected.

  2. Click on the contacts icon to choose a recipient for the message.

  3. Click on the schedule delivery option and select a time to send the message (e.g. 1:05 PM).

  4. Select SMS as the message type. Verify the SIM card has enough load/credit to send a message.

  5. Type the desired message text (e.g. "Hi").

  6. Click send. The message will show as pending and be scheduled for delivery at the set time.

  7. Once the scheduled time arrives, check the "Smart Inbox" folder in the messaging app to confirm the message was sent and delivered.

  8. Continue the conversation thread from the Smart Inbox.

Product

Successfully sent SMS messages using the connected SIM card on the device. Confirmation of delivery can be verified in the Smart Inbox folder at the scheduled time.
