How to Create a Recurring Task

This SOP will be used as a step-by-step instruction for setting up a recurring task in the "Grow and Improvement - Project Management solution of SmartSuite.

Accessing the Solution
Navigate to the Grow and Improvement - Project Management Solution on SmartSuite's workspace.
Opening the Tasks App
Within the solution, locate and click on the Tasks app to open it.
Creating a New Task Record
Find and click the button or link to create a new task record.
Inputting Task Details
Fill in the necessary task details in the provided fields. This might include the task's name, description, assignee, priority, etc.
Specify the estimated storypoints or the approximate duration it might take to complete the task. This helps in gauging the effort or time required to finish it.
Setting the Recurrence
There is a small field in the record called "Due Date", click on that and open to the window on Figure 1.
Choose the recurrence frequency: daily, weekly, monthly, or select the customized option if you need a specific pattern.
If customizing, follow the on-screen instructions to define your custom recurrence pattern.
Specify the time for the task recurrence if prompted.
Finalizing the Task Details
Make sure the Recurring Task is linked to one of your recurring projects. Also see: Projects and What is a Linked Record?
Review all the details to ensure accuracy.
Click the "Save" or "Create" button to finalize and create the recurring task.
Post-Completion Action
Once the task is marked as "DONE" or completed, SmartSuite will automatically generate a new task based on the recurrence settings you've specified.
