Stock footage is one of the main passive income earners for Vonas Media. Being able to produce and sell a set of stock footage is essential for funding media production.
Step 0. Prerequisites - Prodcution Team sends Release forms - Acquire files from production :
Step 1. Stock Selection and General Workflow Guideline
Create a record inside the stock footage tab in the content creation solution. This - Input the project name (ex; Street Court Painter) - Then input the scene (ex; Street Painters Designing and Painting in the Streets) *** NOTE: You donβt have to be super specific when it comes to the scenes, just make sure that the scene you have put in the record applies to the relevant footages.
Select stock-worthy footage (only 4k footage from Passions, Tatak, and OTR)
Create proxy media for editing (720p)
Upload all proxies to GDrive inside the Stockfootage folder.
Once uploaded, open this and submit the footages.
Input the project name (ex; Basketball Player Training) and click Vonas OPC for the βClientβ tab.
Await the freelancers from Airtable to submit their deliverables.
Once you have received the updated files from the freelancers - Render the footages in the highest resolution. (Recommended Export Settings: H.264 > Apple Prores > @4k)
Render two sets; one set being color graded and one log (raw) - Render it in a file name such as (ex; [PRORES] Basketball Player Training for Graded clips; and [LOG] Basketball Player Training for raw clips)
Once rendered update the database in Smartsuite and rename the files per scene in bulk by using Kyno (ex; Project name: Street Court Painters > Scene name: Street kids dancing and playing basketball) - Just select the desired clips and right click > rename > select Custom (1) for graded footages and Custom (2) for raw footages.
Once renaming is done start uploading in Filmsupply or Artgrid or Blackbox
Once all done, apply the proper status of the project in Smartsuite
