Purpose

Heads will assign tasks to interns that will be both illuminating for their learning experiences and helpful for the company. These can be simple or challenging, and while the regular workspace is inaccessible to Guest accounts like the ones interns would be handling, interns can be assigned tasks and other records like SOPs so they can view them.

Process

Step 1. The head will assign the interns a task Whether it’s for a Project for the quarter or a routine task, the head will delegate some key responsibilities to the interns.

Step 2. The heads will tag the task to the interns on SmartSuite Most Tasks are recorded and documented on SmartSuite. The department head will create a new Task and then assign it to the interns.

In the Task overview, there can also be links to SOPs or guidelines to follow (e.g., how to edit for Passions/Skyline) that can also explain what else you need to know to complete the work. Whatever Task it may be, the intern will talk about the progress to the head until it is finished. If anything comes up, don’t hesitate to ask your head for help!

Step 3. Once done, the interns will report to the head.

When you’re done with your assigned Task, kindly tell your head so they will be able to mark it off as complete.

What if I can’t access my SmartSuite account? If you haven’t accessed it yet, you can send us your email and we’ll send you an invite to the workspace!

Why can’t I view an SOP? One of the reasons you may not be able to view it is that you aren’t tagged there. You can tell your head so they’ll tag you as soon as possible. My task is gone and I haven’t finished it yet!

What do I do? Uh-oh, sometimes something happens on the administrators’ or editors’ end that causes these changes to your task. Let your head know and they can probably get it back up again.
